Built on the EU VSME standard

Answer what your buyers can ask. Set the limit on what they can’t.

Sustainability requests have become a barrier between good suppliers and the buyers they’ve served for years. Supplier ESG Readiness is the one report that answers what buyers can ask — and sets the limit on what they can’t. Built to help you comply, disclose, and win the business.

The shield, not the burden

Large EU companies are pushing sustainability demands down their supply chains. For a supplier, that can mean a different questionnaire for every customer — and no clear limit on what they’re entitled to ask.

The EU’s answer is the VSME standard: a voluntary, proportionate disclosure designed for smaller companies. A complete VSME report is both the proof your buyers want and the boundary that protects you from disproportionate requests.

A recognised standard

VSME was established as the EU’s voluntary standard for SMEs under Commission Recommendation (EU) 2025/1710.

Most suppliers are out of mandatory scope

Under the Omnibus reform (Directive (EU) 2026/470), mandatory CSRD reporting applies only to the largest companies — above €450M turnover and 1,000 employees.

The proportionality cap

Large buyers shouldn’t ask in-scope suppliers for more than the VSME standard contains. Your report sets that line.

Does VSME apply to you?

VSME is voluntary — no company is legally required to use it. The real question isn’t whether you must report, but which situation you’re in.

This is you

Under buyer pressure, below the threshold

You’re below the mandatory CSRD thresholds, but your EU customers are asking for sustainability data. VSME is your proportionate answer — and your shield. This is who we built it for.

Already in CSRD scope

Above €450M turnover and 1,000 employees? You likely fall under mandatory CSRD/ESRS reporting, which goes beyond VSME. We’ll tell you honestly — VSME alone won’t meet that obligation.

No buyer pressure yet

No obligation, and no buyer asking today? VSME is optional for you — but a ready disclosure is a head start for the moment they do.

Not sure? The scoping step inside the tool tells you where you stand. It’s informational guidance, not a legal determination — formal scope should be confirmed with an advisor.

How it works

01

Request access

We verify every supplier before an account is created — so you know who you’re in the room with.

02

Check your fit

A short scoping step confirms whether VSME is right for your size, sector and buyer situation.

03

Gap analysis

See exactly where you stand against the standard, and what to close to reach a buyer-ready score.

04

Report

Generate a clean, buyer-ready VSME report — on your own, or reviewed by our team.

What your report covers

The full VSME data set, grouped the way buyers think about it — covering the data points large customers most often request, and a strong head start on common buyer sustainability assessments. Your readiness score measures how completely you’ve disclosed against this standard — the proportionate set of data points the EU established as what buyers can reasonably ask for.

VSME is a 100% voluntary standard. There is no universal pass mark — each buyer decides for itself what it considers sufficient. This service helps you disclose as completely and credibly as possible to maximise your chances of winning and keeping business; it does not guarantee that any buyer will accept your report or award a contract. The guided plan maps what it takes to reach a buyer-ready readiness score (80+) and includes one round of expert re-review — reaching a score is not a guarantee of acceptance, and anything needed beyond the second version is quoted separately. The readiness score reflects how completely you have disclosed against the EU VSME standard; it is our measure of completeness, not an EU-issued rating. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide; readiness scores and gap analyses are informational and are not legal, regulatory, or assurance advice. Prices shown are indicative; taxes may apply.
